McGill’s Brewery is situated in Waterville, Co. Kerry, Ireland. Waterville (An Coireán) is a small coastal village located between the Atlantic Ocean and Lough Currane on the scenic and famous Ring of Kerry along the Wild Atlantic Way.

McGill’s ‘An Coireán’ Imperial stout has been aged in oak barrels. The first beer of its kind brewed in the area it was aged over time in Oak Port barrels which had exquisite whiskey in them by Wayward Irish Spirits producers of Liberator Whiskey in Killarney. This collaboration resulted in ‘An Coireán’ winning two national awards at the World Beer Awards. It won ‘Best Barrel Aged Beer in Ireland’ and ‘Best Flavoured Beer in Ireland’.

This Barrel aged series has wonderful whiskey flavours, complimented by chocolate, coffee, and vanilla notes.
